They say that God created the world in seven days. I think it was on the fourth day of Creation, that God in all his wisdom and infinite power created all the water bodies of Earth, above and below. Above, the rivers, lagoons, lakes, seas and oceans, and below, the sinkholes and the crystalline groundwater coursing through the arteries and veins of Earth to then spring out and satiate the thirst of those of us who live up here. On that day of Creation, the good Lord, tired of all that work, took a nap under a rain of stars. While He slept, one of those huge seas grew and grew and became full of disorderly life. Awakening to the chaos, God sculpted the land with his own hands and made a large bay, surrounded it with mountains, splashed it with multi-colored flowers and decided that a fistful of the Pacific Ocean should dwell there forever. At the moment He must have lost a bit of his sense of eternal justice and equity, and granted us the fabulous Banderas Bay.
